We are all so perfect
So perfectly we’re flawed
Thoughts left unattended
Clothes left in the hall
We are all so tidy
So organized, we are
Emotions stuffed in boxes
In the backseat of our car
We are all so stable
Our feelings never stick
Honest, like a photo
Straight up like politics
We are all so certain
We speculate and guess
Twisted up together
We lose track of all the rest
We are so attentive
We can’t recall a thing
Scatterbrained and brilliant
Consistently insane
We are all so purposed
Accidentally in love
Our messes are wonderful
And we’re never cleaning up
Oh I love it…I have to share this beautiful piece with my friends…absolutely marvelous π
That is surely the ultimate compliment! I’m humbled. Thank you!
So many great lines – and so true. “Our messes are wonderful” !!! I love this – another great poem, VW.
Thank you Betty. Sometimes I remember why I’m proud to color outside of the lines π
So very true for so many of us! Love it! π
Thank you jaded. We are a messy bunch, aren’t we? π
It’s just so unique, again, I love it π
Well thank you. I rarely get accused of being normal π
I love this, VW! So many great lines! π
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing it with me π
“We are all so perfect

I have told a man I love so many times, He is not perfect, but perfect for me.
This sounds a lot like me lol. It is a great poem π
Thank you very much! I’m glad you took time to stop by and visit. I’m sure your man is very fortunate indeed π
Your poems touch my heart. Images are also wonderful. I simply love them.
Thank you so much. They are from my heart, so your heart is always welcomed to them π
So beautiful and true.
Thank you LadyT! I’m thankful you stopped by to visit π
My pleasure… thank you for visiting my blog as well π
This is incredible. The last stanza blows my mind.
Wow thank you! I hope your mind didn’t make too much of a mess when it blew π
but if it did i’m sure it was a wonderful mess π
My life is ripe with a wonderful mess. But no, my mind blowing was quite tidy.
That is a relief. The mind is a terrible thing to waste, I’ve heard π
as always the image truly captured my heart, and the piece is truly inspired me ….
To inspire someone else is quite a flattery indeed. Thank you very much
Genius twists! I love the paradox that bounces through this poem. Lovely piece, I read it twice π
Twice? Wow thank you! Indeed that is a wonderful compliment! π
This is great another masterpiece! You have encapsulated most of our minds and soul!! what a lovely mess!! Thanks for sharing keep writing …this one made me smile!!
Glad to make you smile, Willow. I will do my best to keep writing. I feel like I am running out of energy to lately for some reason
“We are so attentive
We canβt recall a thing
Scatterbrained and brilliant
Consistently insane”
Incredible. Honestly, sometimes one just stumbles across beautiful lines you really wish you’d come up with yourself! A great poem, but this section was fantastic!
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement π
Awesome writing as always. It could be read many times, spawning new thoughts each time. I’m thinking in how “we” are in general. Starting things, living things, believing in things, and then disappointed in things and see it as a mess. If there’s ever been someone that could say for 10 years “Wow! everything has been perfectly as planned and it still is!” I won’t believe them π
Just wanted to share the thought. Especially as I’ve been slacking with comments recently. Just too busy lately, but always enjoying your work here man! I’ll even share this one on FB
Thank you, my friend. I understand being busy. I always feel like no matter how many comments I make I probably forgot someone who deserved some.
Life is an adventure that sometimes engines finding rare treasure and sometimes is more like being chased by massive boulders and angry natives. At least, that’s an Indiana Jones analogy π
Cool, I like the irony in this piece. Awesome!
Thanks π
A wonderful mess indeed! Your words always make me smile π
Thank you, Cursi. It is nice to see you back again! I’ve missed reading your work
I really like this one
Vampire Weather π
Androgoth
Thank you sir!
I’ve read this more times than I can count. β€
π β€ so glad you came by again. Thank you
Imagine the opposite…perfect sterile order…no room to change course and make mistakes. Nice write VW
That is a true tale of horror π
“We are so perfect, so perfectly we’re flawed.” Once again, you just blew me away with your words. I think it’s our flaws that makes us perfect in our own way. Cause if we didn’t have flaws than there must be something wrong with us.
Your line made me smile. “if we didn’t have flaws then there must be something wrong with us” there is something ironically truthful about that. Thank you for visiting my realm and taking time to share your thoughts!
when reading this i felt so upbeat. like i threw myself in your words and the world became silent! i love this!
Wow, thanks!
Keep it up!!!! GREAT!
π thanks!
