The Last Tide (Audio)

In place of a poem today, I decided to upload an electronic instrumental piece I recorded some time ago. I have never shared audio, so I do hope this post works properly.

At the prompting of Cat Forsley I set up a SoundCloud account to share some audio with you. In the future I intend to post more; perhaps with spoken word included. For now, I hope this will be some consolation in place of a poem.

  7. Earlier this evening this tune came into mu head. I couldn’t place it at first, but then the little old librarian found it. Perhaps this was because I am meant to use it as a reply to your post. Whatever,

  8. I very much enjoy this song. It reminds me of a time so far away. Some times it seems as if it must have been a fairy tale or a beautiful dream because a life so lovely full of such tranquility and laughter doesn’t actually seem to possibly exist. Life is harsh, and a difficult lesson to learn. Life is pain and work. People are wronged and people die. It’s something to be accepted. I’m thankful for the moment of peace the song offers. Something I’ve missed.

    • I could not agree more. There are some things I find irreplaceable and it is an emptiness words cannot touch. Perhaps I have lived fairy tales, but they do feel distant and long ago. I have not forgotten them, though. I have kept them safe. I dream of them when I can, and refuse to walk away from them. Perhaps I should grow up, but I still believe in fairy tales.

  9. I so regret I have no time to listen right now, but the title really resonates in my chest: “The Last Tide”! Imagine the last tide ever on Planet Earth!
