Dawn, the omen of day, with shroud discarded
Pierced with stars retreating
Wields sharpened rays to chase shade
Deep beneath the overhangs
And with it sleep, defeated
Probably like me you’re getting into the halloween spirit! Not that I celebrate it, but I do love all the spooky elements about it and have fun with the art and the abundance of scary movies on tv.
I have actually never celebrated halloween or dressed up for the occasion, but I do enjoy scary movies and I love seeing people in costume. It is one of the most fascinating holidays, I just never participated 🙂
An unfolding image that made me catch my breath – wow! As Ben requests, “more please”. 🙂
Thank you, Betty! That’s all I had on that one, but I will work on posting something else soon. Being featured on the front page made me think maybe I should post occasionally lol
Haha, I had to catch my breath there! Startled me a little, glad to have you back writing 🙂 (As I’ve stated so many times before, but you truly do inspire me to evolve as a poet)
It is spooky full of atmospherics and boy that photo!!
I do try to have unusual photos 🙂 thank you, Willow!
More please.
In time perhaps more will come 🙂
Excellent. Omen – that very word is so ominous…
I loved that word 🙂 thank you!
Usually the break of dawn connotates to a begnning as opposed to an end; I like the different perspective.
It is perhaps the beginning of reality, but the end of dreams. Thank you!
A little spooky this one, It’s got a really eerie quality to it, same with the picture.
Have a great night VW.

Thank you, Nikki! That’s a lovely estimation confirming my intent 🙂
