Stratus arrested
We escort the vestige
Of dusk and deliverance
Over the threshold of
Coverless endings
A yarn of our spinning
In blood we invested
And stratus arrested
This one went right over my head…but I wanted you to know I was here and read it, and also wanted to say hello since I’ve been off line for a week…missed you, VW
Hugs, xx
– these are two powerful lines, VW. Very clever poem; it’s as if you say to the reader, “here’s my lines… I challenge you to find the understanding”. I had to read it slowly, a couple of times, and loved what you did. 🙂
🙂 TIME LAPSES ,,,,,,,, REMINDED ME OF THAT SONG “LITTLE FLUFFY CLOUDS ” —— REMEMBER THAT SONG ——
YOUR POEMS ARE LIKE SONGS AND MOVIES 🙂 XOC
My my, I was just listening to that! Isn’t that by Orb? I remember the girl’s voice in the beginning and the adventurous rhythms of that song. So soothing… I will have to go listen to it again now that you mentioned it 🙂
Stratus clouds and stratus layerings in our heart–arrested and caught up in the yarns we spin to each other. I really like the wisdom in this one,VW!
This was written pretty high on that “smart” pedestal, VW, and I’m reading much sadness in your words, with endless life struggles…I’m probably way off course! 🙂
Yes, that is true, but I hope for more happiness in your future words and wisdom (Even though sadness sparks awesome inspiration for you) 🙂
Hugs for a wonderful Saturday!
Thank you, Lauren 🙂
Succinct – one to read over and over with so much between the lines. I sense a LOT of controlled emotion coming from this….
seems to sum up what you want to call up here. When the living, moving system of water, blood, or life are arrested then stagnation follows, with then disfunction, disease and putrefaction.

Thank you, Angela. I didn’t intend it to be so cryptic. Sometimes I just pull things from my thoughts and they make sense to me in my mind 🙂
VERY POWERFUL VW
WAY TOO SMART FOR MY MIND ……..
IT’S A STATEMENT PIECE FOR SURE
I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW IT CAME TO BE ? 🙂 XO

Perhaps a collage of emotions regarding time, love, and the progress of life with day as a sort of metaphor. What did you see in it?

Wonderfully written, though, as always! Hugs!
You know me well enough to know that sadness always flavors my work in some way, so you cannot be far off 🙂
